Materials and options
Frameless
Our most requested build. No frame around the panels, only the hardware that holds them.
Semi-frameless
A slim frame on some edges. Costs less and fits tub enclosures and tighter openings well.
Clear or low iron
Clear glass carries a slight green tint at the edges. Low iron is nearly colorless, the upgrade we recommend over light marble.
3/8 inch tempered, CRL hardware
Three eighths inch tempered safety glass, with CRL hardware in the finish you choose.

How soon can you come measure?
Usually within the same week across MetroWest. Send a photo of the shower and we will give you a price range the same day, then we book the measurement around your schedule.
Do you work with my contractor's schedule?
Yes. Tell us the date the tile and the plumbing will be finished and we plan the measurement around it. We also quote directly to contractors who prefer to handle the homeowner themselves.
What do you need finished before you measure?
The tile, the curb and any stone work need to be done and the plumbing fixtures set. Glass is cut to the finished opening, so measuring before the tile is up means the panel will not fit.
How many days from measurement to installation?
8 to 15 business days in most cases, depending on the glass and the hardware you choose. The installation itself takes about two hours.
Do you install what I bought somewhere else?
No. We fabricate and install our own glass, so we do not fit doors or enclosures bought elsewhere. That is what lets us stand behind the one-year warranty on both the glass and the hardware.
What glass and hardware do you use?
Three eighths inch tempered safety glass with CRL hardware, in the finish you choose.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Crystal Glass Inc is a registered Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor (#215101), fully insured, and every installation carries a one-year warranty.

How much does a custom shower door cost?
Most of our custom frameless projects fall between $1,800 and $2,600 installed, depending on size, glass type and hardware finish. Send us a photo of your shower and we will give you a real number the same day.
One-year warranty, in writing
Every installation carries a one-year warranty on the glass and the hardware we install. If something we installed fails within the year, we come back and fix it.
Tell us when the tile is done. We take it from there.
No in-home visit to get a price, and no pressure after it.
