Materials and options
Frameless
Our most requested build. No frame around the panels, only the hardware that holds them.
Semi-frameless
A slim frame on some edges. Costs less and fits tub enclosures and tighter openings well.
Clear or low iron
Clear glass carries a slight green tint at the edges. Low iron is nearly colorless, the upgrade we recommend over light marble.
3/8 inch tempered, CRL hardware
Three eighths inch tempered safety glass, with CRL hardware in the finish you choose.

Questions homeowners ask us
Do you have to remove the tile to replace my shower door?
No. We take the old enclosure out and fit the new glass to the opening you already have. There is no demolition and no tile work, so the bathroom stays as it is.
Can you reuse my existing frame or hardware?
No. Every project is new custom glass with new CRL hardware in the finish you choose. We do not fit new panels onto an old frame or reuse existing rollers and seals.
My door leaks at the bottom. Can that be fixed, or do I need a new one?
We do not repair seals, rollers or hinges on doors we did not install, so we cannot fix the leak itself. If the door is old or damaged beyond a simple fix, we would be glad to quote a full replacement in new custom glass.
How long does a replacement take from start to finish?
Most replacements are installed 8 to 15 business days after we take measurements. The installation itself takes about two hours, and the old door comes out in that same visit.
Do you take the old door away?
The old enclosure comes out as part of the job, in the same visit as the new install. You do not need to remove it yourself or hire anyone else first.
Do you repair shower doors?
No. We design, fabricate and install new custom glass, and we replace existing enclosures. We do not repair hardware, seals or rollers on doors we did not install. If your door is old or damaged beyond a simple fix, we would be glad to quote a full replacement.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Crystal Glass Inc is a registered Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor (#215101), fully insured, and every installation carries a one-year warranty.
